The Carousel Center’s 8th Annual Flounder Fishing Tournament 

This year’s 8th annual Flounder Fishing tournament rain and shine raised over $15,000. 

Every year this event is made possible by the planning of Tournament Director Tom Banks and  dedicated sponsors:

Anixter, MTS Services, Communication Supply, Master Account, Faulkner/Haynes, DPS Electric, Infranet Technologies, Carolinas Network Products Inc, NPI Connect, JCI, Corning Cable Systems, Seimon, Accu Tech, Commscope, and Tex’s Tackle.

There were 94 anglers throwing out their hooks and bait to catch the biggest flounder.  Last year the first place winner reeled in a 12 pounder this year first place was taking by a 5.50 lb flounder caught by DeWayne Kirby.  John Theodorakis landed second place with a 5.35 lb flounder, third place winner Mike Accattato with a 4.9 lb, fourth place with a 4.2 lb, a Mark Armstrong wrapped it up with a 4.0 pounder.
