DESCRIPTION:Thank you to the 57 Secret Santas who have fulfilled the Santa wishes of 115 kiddos and 59 Caregivers – the most ever!\nThank you to all the Secret Santas who signed up this year.   \nIt’s not too late to help!\n \nThis Year’s “Not So” Secret SantasCapturing Santa on camera is quite the feat\, but we managed to capture a few!We Believe! Do You? Carousel’s Family Advocates begins collecting wishlists from our families in need in early October.  Individuals\, groups\, and Businesses sign up to be Secret Santas starting in October.  We matched Secret Santas with a child\, children\, and/or family and will be provided the wishlist the week before Thanksgiving or early that week. All gifts (unwrapped) must be delivered the week of December 4th to Carousel Child Advocacy Center at 1501 Dock St.\, Wilmington\, NC. Are you shopping online? You deliver your gifts to our address\, 1501 Dock St.\, Wilmington\, NC 28401.  “We cannot help everyone in the community\, but we are absolutely going to ensure Carousel’s families have the support they need. Our families have been through some tough times over the past year\,” said Franchesca Ramirez\, Family Advocate Supervisor and the coordinator of the Holiday Hugs Program. “Holiday Hugs is a small way Carousel Center helps them add some normalcy back into their lives. You relieve adult caregivers’ concerns about providing a special Christmas morning for their children\, especially after one or more of these kiddos have needed services at Carousel Center. What a priceless gift you will give!” \nWe are so grateful for all the generous Secret Santas who\, over the years\, have donated hundreds of toys\, bikes\, art supplies\, and other wish list items to Carousel’s children and caregivers. Many years ago\, Holiday Hugs began as a cooperative effort with American Legion Post 10\, Stanley B-Jammin’ 99.9\, Alan Perry\, and the Perry’s Emporium Team.  Today\, American Legion Post 10 and Books-A-Million have joined the effort to ensure all child survivors of abuse who visit the Carousel Center for forensic/medical\, family advocacy\, or trauma therapy services within the last year will not have to worry about providing their children a warm and wonderful Christmas morning!
