Carousel Center Volunteer!

Due to Covid-19 we are limited to the number of individuals in our offices at any one time, therefore we have no volunteer opportunities that have direct contact with our clients and their caregiver(s). We are most interested in those who wish to share their time, talent and treasure with us as a member of our Board of Directors, or wish to serve on a ‘Virtual’ event committee.

Please take the time to answer all the questions on the volunteer submission form. Because of the work we do with children, we have several requirements for our wonderful volunteers. All Carousel Center volunteers and interns must complete the pre-position NC Responsible Individuals List (RIL) Screen. All Carousel Center staff, volunteers, and interns must complete a pre-position drug screen, criminal background, and Sexual Offender Registry check.

Carousel Child Advocacy Center supports healing, promotes justice, fosters resilience in children victimized by physical or sexual abuse, and improves our community through education, prevention, and advocacy.

Carousel Center is the Cape Fear region’s only nationally-accredited, nonprofit child advocacy center that is helping abused children heal.
Carousel Center provides child forensic medical exams/interviews, confidential professional trauma counseling, and caregiver support
to children and their families who have experienced physical/sexual abuse in Brunswick, New Hanover, and Pender counties.
Your community support, through donations, grants, sponsorships, and proceeds from events, helps children heal and keep them safe.
